BRIAN SMITH

Brian Smith is an experienced litigator who has represented the interests of both Plaintiffs and Defendants in family law, divorce, business contract and negotiation, international law (European Union and NAFTA), immigration, commercial litigation, construction defect, credit repair & debt collection, personal injury, products liability and employment cases. He has been serving the legal needs of clients in Houston, The Woodlands, Conroe, Humble, Cypress, Huntsville, Cleveland and Montgomery County and Harris County, Texas for over 6 years.

After high school, Mr. Smith enlisted in the Air Force and served in Desert Storm. While in the Air Force, Mr. Smith served as a Security Police officer. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Mr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from St. Edward’s University in 1996 where he graduated with honors and magna cum laude. While at St. Edward’s, he was an editor of the University’s newspaper. After graduating, he attended law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas and graduated in 2001. While at South Texas, he went to trial on numerous cases under a third year bar card and gained valuable trial experience before graduating. Additionally, while in law school, Mr. Smith did extensive clinical work with regard to indigent families who needed a divorce, protection or a modification to the parent child relationship. Shortly after graduating from law school, Mr. Smith was very active in protecting the rights of injured people and people who had been discriminated against. After becoming licensed, he went on to prosecute a class action against a large pharmaceutical company which involved hundreds of parties in multiple jurisdictions.

Not only has Mr. Smith represented the interests of injured parties, but he has also extensively represented the interests of small businesses, multinational companies, and insurance carriers in actions to protect their interests. Specifically, he has handles cases involving employment issues, contracts disputes, construction defects, and negotiation of severance agreements and separation packages. Mr. Smith has successfully taken numerous cases to trial and believes firmly on treating his clients ethically and fighting aggressively to protect their interests.
