John Valdez

John C. Valdez is an experienced attorney with more than 15 years of practice in the areas of Immigration & Nationality Law and Business Law. His diverse clientele has included many Fortune Five Hundred corporations; L-1 multinational executives, managers, and specialized knowledge personnel; immigrant investors; small and midsize companies; individual immigrants seeking work authorization or U.S. permanent residence; and families seeking U.S. immigration benefits.

John graduated, in May 1995, from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where he earned membership in Who’s Who in American Law Students and the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program. He passed the California Bar Examination in December in 1995.

John has broad expertise in immigration and business law. He has authored or coauthored numerous papers, including articles on immigration topics that have been printed in national publications. He has written on important issues related to adjustment of status, changes in immigration policies since the events of September 11, 2001, H-1B visas, investor visas, and the Department of State’s Exchange Visitor Program. He has also been a principal speaker at State and County meetings on H-1B, J-1, and Immigration Compliance issues. An advocate for immigrants, he has represented foreign nationals in Federal District Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
