John C. Valdez is a leading immigration attorney with more than 13 years of professional experience.  In 1995, he graduated from UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of Who’s Who in American Law Students.  Prior to law school, he was an Alumni Scholar at UCLA, where he earned a B.A. in English.

Since passing the California Bar Examination in December 1995, John has helped thousands of individuals obtain visas, permanent residence, and citizenship.  His expertise is broad, encompassing all aspects of Immigration & Nationality laws in the areas of employment, family, asylum, deportation, and citizenship.    He has represented Fortune Five Hundred corporations, small businesses, and individuals.  He regularly processes applications and petitions for L-1 multinational employees, E-1 and E-2 investors and managers, H-1B specialty workers, labor certification applicants, religious workers, scientists, professors, and many others.

John has published numerous articles in national publications.  He has written on such topics as H-1B visas, the immigration consequences of September 11, 2001, investor visas, adjustment of status, employer compliance with immigration regulations, and the J-1 foreign exchange program.  A strong advocate for immigrants, John has represented foreign nationals in Federal District courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
