What can you do when a party refuses to produce information requested by the other party during the discovery process?
If a party objects to a discovery request, that party must state his grounds for objection. Usually, a motion to compel is presented to the court whereby a party requests that the court to make a ruling on the non-producing party’s objection. If the court grants a party’s motion to compel, the non-producing party may be ordered to make requested information available.
