What is considered a “privileged” matter?
Sometimes, relevant matters may not be discoverable because they are “privileged.” Privileged matters include attorney-client communication, physician-patient communication and communication between spouses. Other matters besides communication, like attorney work product, may be considered “privileged” and may be limited to discovery. An example of attorney work product is a private memorandum or analysis regarding the attorney’s mental impressions of a case.
