What are the formal requirements under the Uniform Guidelines regarding who is allowed to perform the validity study?

There are really no formal requirements as to who can or cannot perform the study. Under the guidelines, the validity study is “judged on its own merits.” As long as the study is based upon “professionally accepted standards,” and the study was performed by one competent to apply the principles of validity research, the study will be accepted by the enforcement officer.
