What is probate?

The process of probating your will basically means that your property is being turned over to its new owners by operation of law. This is done through a Probate Court and after the process is completed, the new owners of your property will have proper legal title to your property. Generally, the process is not very complicated; however, it can be expensive and time consuming at times. If at all possible, it is best to consult with an experienced probate attorney when drafting your Will and potential Trust documents in order to lean more about the potential for possibly on how to avoid the probate process altogether.
